Terms and Conditions

When a car is transported on an open trailer, the customer acknowledges and agrees that the car may experience small scratches, scuffs, dents, or abrasions due to natural wear and tear. It is important to note that the carrier is not responsible for any damages that may result from road conditions, such as road paint, fresh pavement components, reagents, and small rocks. Additionally, as a carrier, Vehicle Transport Inc. cannot be held liable for minor damages of this nature. The inspection represents a general overall condition of the vehicle, but it is not all-inclusive. This policy applies to all cases and there are NO EXCEPTIONS!

1) As per this agreement, both parties acknowledge that this is the only contract governing the transport of vehicles, and there is no other effective agreement or contract in place. The transporter's agent(s) or the transport broker cannot be held responsible for any damages. Therefore, no claims or legal actions of any kind can be initiated against them. If any damage occurs during the transport, a damage claim must be made to the auto transporter.

2) The customer affirms that their vehicle is covered by insurance and that their insurance has primary responsibility.

3) Please note that we do not guarantee delivery times. All delivery dates and times are only estimates and delays may occur. The transporter is not responsible for any loss or damage caused by unavoidable delay and does not agree to transport shipments in time for any specific market or event. We want to emphasize that there are no guarantees, expressed or implied, regarding delivery times or dates.

4) The auto transport company will notify the customer prior to delivery. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the full payment is available when the transporter's driver arrives for pick-up and delivery. The customer must agree to meet the transporter's driver at the specified time and location.

5) Please note that we only accept payments for vehicle transportation in the form of cash or Zelle. If the payment cannot be made by cash or Zelle, the customer will be responsible for all storage costs. In the event that the customer is unable to accept delivery for any reason, the vehicle will be placed in storage and all storage and/or delivery charges will be borne by the customer. We kindly request you to keep this in mind while planning your vehicle transportation.

6) It is important that the vehicle owner or customer appoints an agent to act on their behalf during pickup and/or delivery if they are unavailable. If the customer is not present during pickup or delivery, they must designate a representative. Failure to do so may result in the rejection of any claims.

7) Auto rental and towing services will not be provided for any delays, damages, or accidents.

8) The customer verifies this vehicle is free of contents during vehicle transport. Belongings left in the car are not insured and are shipped at the owner's risk.

9) The customer must prepare the vehicle and remove license plates before transport. The auto transporter is not liable for toll violations.

10) All loose parts, fragile or protruding accessories, low-hanging aging spoilers, etc. must be removed and properly secured. If any part of the vehicle falls off during transport, the customer will be held responsible for any damages caused by the part to all other vehicles involved in the incident.

11) VEHICLE TRANSPORT INC. WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Any damage caused by leaked fluids, battery acids, brake systems, cooling systems, anti-freeze solutions, industrial fall-out, or unforeseeable events. It is important to understand that when transporting vehicles on a 2-stage trailer, the top car may leak fluids onto the bottom car. In such cases, the transporter will not cover any expenses related to car washes or detailing.
- Any damages caused to any mechanical functions of the vehicle during transportation. This includes but is not limited to the engine, transmission, rear end, motor mounts, drive trains, wiring systems, window motors, radios, stereo systems, power steering, airbag, brake, cable or brake system, clutch, engine tuning, convertible system (if any), vehicle computerized systems, any switch, alignment, suspension, or any interior damage. Additionally, any damages caused to the vehicle due to overloading or if the trunk lid opens due to mechanical failure will not be covered.
- Any damages to the exhaust system, including the mufflers and tailpipe. No exceptions!
- Damages resulting from frozen engines, cooling systems, or batteries.
- Any damage caused to the vehicle as a result of tie-downs breaking or tearing.
- Damage to any convertible tops or pickup truck bed covers that are loose, torn, or show signs of visible wear.
- Damage to vehicle accessories including but not limited to boots, caps, masks, bras, or any canvas or material coverings.
- Windshield or window damage, including cracks or chips, as well as any issues arising from hazardous or environmental conditions.
- Damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle, including wheels, rims, or tires, owing to the challenges associated with conducting thorough inspections at the time of pick-up.
This exclusion applies universally to all vehicles transported by us, without exception.

12) It is the responsibility of the customer to fully disarm any alarm system that has been installed in their vehicle before the transport. The customer should provide keys to the alarm system if required. In the event that the car alarm sounds during transport, the transporter is obligated to stop the alarm by using any means that they consider reasonable and effective.

13) Please note that we cannot accept damage claims for parts that were already damaged prior. This applies to all cases, with NO EXCEPTIONS!

14) If a vehicle is vandalized during transportation on an open trailer or while waiting to be shipped, Vehicle Transport will not be held responsible. In such cases, the owner of the vehicle will need to submit a claim to their insurance provider or will have to bear the loss themselves if they do not have any insurance coverage.

15) As per the agreement, if the vehicle becomes inoperable for any reason during the transport, a minimum charge of $150 (one hundred and fifty dollars) will be added to the transport charges. The charge must be paid in cash or via Zelle at the time of vehicle delivery. There will be no exceptions to this policy.

16) Vehicle Transport Inc. shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, delay, or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature, forces, or causes beyond its reasonable control, including, without limitation, natural disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, floods, wildfires, hailstorms, or high winds ("Acts of God"). It is understood that in the event of such Acts of God, all efforts will be made to protect and secure the vehicles within our care, but the unpredictability and severity of these events may render our measures insufficient. We strongly recommend that clients maintain their own comprehensive insurance coverage to protect against such risks. This clause absolves the company of liability for damages arising from such Acts of God, ensuring that both parties understand the scope of risk associated with natural events beyond human control.

17) All claims will be settled at the actual cost.

It is IMPORTANT to note any damages on the Bill of Lading during delivery. Any claim for damage that has not been documented on the Bill of Lading will not be honored. You must submit a written claim within 24 HOURS of delivery and provide a detailed description of the damages claimed with pictures. No claims will be accepted after 24 hours, WITHOUT ANY EXCEPTIONS. To file a damage claim, please send an email to claims@vtransportinc.com.

If any portion or part of this agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions of the agreement shall remain in effect.
